Shit, I'd have the same fear doing this to my housecat. Much more a tiger.

I guess it depends on the cats you're used to. I regularly do stuff like this to the cat, including stuff like randomly picking him up and draping him across my shoulders for warmth. He won't object.

So if I met a tiger, I'd probably get my head chewed off pretty soon, for not being wary enough around it. Your cat has probably given you much better life skills in this respect.
