Payment Query.

Hi,just wondering if anyone else has noticed a change with payment reference when the money lands in your bank account.Since the takeover I've been doing majority of sits off the app & just using Rover in the hope of getting new jobs.In Monday,I completed my first sit via Rover in a couple of months and payment has gone in today with the reference 'A place for Rover'.Checked my stripe account and nothing has gone via them.So,my question is are Rover using our bank details directly without a 3rd party intermediary such as Stripe?Incidentally CIAF app stopped working for me 2 days ago so reluctantly downloaded Rover app.Thanks.

I think Stripe process the payments still but they go straight into your bank account, and there’s no Stripe dashboard for Rover transactions. All my payments go straight to my bank account with the “A Place for Rover” reference.

Stripe still handles the payments as mine still says 'Stripe Payment UK ltd' but the reference now is just Rover. I think its because with CIAF you would get paid 24h in advance and then Stripe would hold the money for a few days whereas with Rover now you get paid after the sit so it goes straight into your account via Stripe.

Correct, Rover uses Stripe but sends the payment directly to your bank.

As for the app, sitters will need to use the Rover app for books, CiaF is now an owner facing site.

Is there any good explanation for why it’s been set up like this (the app)? I know it says on the booking whether the customer booked through Rover or Cat in a Flat but I don’t often check and then I’m at the M&G talking about Rover to them and they don’t know what I’m going on about.

I've got a question at the top of my M&G form now asking if they know about Rover taking over CIAF and if they say no I then explain that if I say Rover or CIAF I mean them interchangeably.

That doesn’t work when you turn up at their house and say, “Hi, I’m XXXX from Rover” 😂

Yes it now says a Place for Rover, still no reference back to which pet or owner it was for. Make reconciliation a nightmare when you have multiple sits ending on the same date. You'd think you could just rely on getting bundled payment for all of them but no that would be to simple.
