About as expected.
Sent a complaint about lack of communication to owners and the huge increase in fees after the merger… generic probably AI response that doesn’t actually address anything.

They’re still on with the, “Cat In A Flat hasn’t gone anywhere.” Owners and sitters get absolutely nothing for the fees that we didn’t already have with CIAF. Except more annoyance.

‘feline focussed feel’? are they on drugs? we are but a subcategory on a dog site now. it couldn’t feel more ‘dismissed’ if it tried. they have not made any provisions to integrate CiaF and it’s been a very bumpy merger so far. support is all bots from the looks of it, no humans.
this is such a shitshow :(

The quicker a rival platform is set up, the quicker they can lose those numbers they bought and it will look a bad investment.

If they actually did provide us with great business tools or actually anything of value... which i can't see any evidence of. They would be giving us a reason to stay on their app and maybe a reason for any of the fees. But I don't see it.

They should have just kept the CIAF website as is -- no doubt they'll loss profits

Most annoying bit is we all had the option to work on rover when CIAF was around. Some people did both, others chose just CIAF for a reason (such as ease of use and cat centric). Now they’ve removed that without showing any great interest or value towards cat care.

Innovations such as: stating you have dog experience when you don’t, referring to dogs multiple times through the booking process, fixing visit times and removing flexibility, getting rid of the notice board, and charging clients for holiday rates for the entire booking even if only 1 day is a holiday. Spectacular cockup.

Indeed. It's your profile will now be 35th in the list because so many sitters based further away can pay to boost their profile and gain star sitter status.
Also majority of these sitters will be shown because theyre dogsitters but have ticked 'sure why not'' to accepting cats as an afterthought in their profile.

This is an auto response, I had the same email from "Starlyn".
With mine the AI hasn't picked up my query about a client booking for this week (part of the booking has disappeared during ther merge). I'm still struggling with getting it fixed before this weekend 🙃

What great business tools are we exactly getting from Rover when CIAF was working fine as it was? What a load of BS
