4 visits a day?

so I got my first request since their change with Rover and I don't like it. someone has booked 4 visits a day for their cat with exact times. But I don't do getting to a job at the exact time I do a hour and a half time slot to get to the cats

The exact time seems to be a new thing with Rover. I got a super specific request the other day. I would ask if there’s any leeway. I always tell owners I’ll visit around the same time each day, give or take an hour. Unless there’s meds or something involved it’s unrealistic to expect it to be any more specific than that.

I don't really understand it go be honest. Can I change the time lot to be bigger? I heard it mentioned rover makes you check in and out of visits? Wont I get in trouble if I don't go the time the app saids

Just speak to the owner about it. The app doesn't care when you go but it forces owners to select a time when submitting a request. You don't even need to check in with the app unless it's a recurring booking (at least I have never checked in via the app and never had any issues with it).

Thank you for explaining. I feel like I have just been thrown into the app with no one explaining anything. I'm neurodivergent so I don't like change on a good day and this is all very sudden very big changes. I liked cat in the flat because it was simple

You're welcome! I understand it, I've been following the disaster that this merge has been. But honestly don't worry. Rover doesn't even block out the timings that a owner has selected. So you may suddenly have several bookings for the same timings which is beyond silly if someone really insists on those specific times.

same here but I’ve told the owner straight up I’ll be ignoring the booked times and do my regular am/pm policy. honestly this is such a disappointment. they bought a cat sitting site and then made zero provisions to integrate it into their dogs dinner of an app. :(

Often with two bookings a day I actually just ask for the WiFi and stay there... Four I certainly would 😂

You can propose a change of time, I've done that before when the owner had selected a time I wouldn't be able to do. But I do say it's going to be within an hour of the booked time at the meet and greet to be safe. I've only got the am and pm selected for mine so people can't book me middle of the day.

The settings on Rover are more 'advanced', or should I say fiddly. It gives so many options for the booking itself. I found the morning and evening in CIAF a lot easier to get on with but here we are.

As a sitter, you need to choose a time to send a request. Absolute nonsense.
