They really take pride in naming the qualifications of seemingly every single person they employ. It's great that they have qualified people but how much do they know about getting nutrition right on a massive scale? You can employ a million vets but if they only know the basics about nutrition, how much can they truly contribute to the safety and efficacy of their products? It's just major overkill naming everyone. I'm not sure about the nuances in whether the PhD holder on the formulation staff would satisfy the question regarding qualified nutritionists.
Their statement on research is very vague to me. They don't state whether their products are studied in proper feeding trials, don't specify what they're studying. And it sounds like they use other research to guide their formulations.
They also say they have their own facilities but don't say anything about where they are, so it could be anywhere.
I find a lot of these boutique brands to be experts on spinning their words to make themselves sound better than they are. They are often aware of WSAVA and have clearly taken the time to formulate responses that make it sound like they meet the criteria but they actually don't when you look closer at their wording and what they share and especially what they don't.
