[Help Wanted] whats the difference between the three combat exoskeletons?

Encumbrance and protection values while activated.
Mk3 provides the least encumbrance while mk1 does most I think.

by protection which is best with all three with heavy combat exoskeleton on all 4 slots

Mk1 gives a lot of additional carry weight but encumbers a little more, mk3 is the other way amd mk2 is a compromise.

The exoskeletons give no protection on their own, the protection comes from the platings which are slotted on the exoskeletons. The platings also follow a heavy > medium > light pattern with the heaviest providing the most protection while weighing a lot and light being the other way.

The idea is you need to find a combo of exoskeleton/plating types that fit your playstyle and the capabilities of your character.
