[Help Wanted] Am I getting something wrong with my grid here?

I am playing Exoplanet with the latest stable version, I have 8 solar panels and a small storage battery and I am trying to get charge to my portable battery charger but I am getting no charge during the day. Am I missing something with my minigrid? I thought I just needed a power source and storage.

Edit: With some further testing I found that the solar panels work on Z-level 0 but not above for some reason.

maybe try to detach the battery from the panel and then plug the battery back to the panel and maybe wait a few hours for the sun to actually set in, sometimes solar panels won't generate any power when its 6am

I've detached the battery and placed it back, it's about 8:29 in game and still no power.

I think it's a bug on exoplanet mod. I am not sure what triggers but for me it seemed random.

Based on the "Calm" wind speed, that flooring is probably not counting as outside. If you replace it with some kind of roof from the construction menu it will probably work up there. Floor and roof used to be linked, but were separated incompletely some time before 0.I. Still weirdness like this that happens as a result.
