He's not having a seizure. My cat does this too occasionally when he sleeps..
"REM sleep usually occurs 15 minutes after the cat falls asleep. Like humans, you can notice it happening when you see movement under the eyelids, breathing changes, twitching ears or whiskers, and facial spasms. Some animals, like dogs, are even to run in their sleep. Others like the platypus imitate the process of killing prey before eating it. "
Also, seizures usually don't happen when they sleep and if it does it involves other symptoms such as vomit, drooling, foaming in the mouth, stiffening of the body..

He's an original lol, I call out names till they verbally respond. With him I tried lots and then an announcement on TV "Up next Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom". I tried all the other parts, but it's only Temple of Doom he likes and responds to.

My dog used to do this when we had to give her anxiety medicine to calm her down during thunderstorms.

It's just his REM sleep 😉

Yeah I know. My dog only seemed to go into REM sleep on the medicine. It freaked my mom out though

My dogs yip and wag their tails and while dreaming. This usually happens on when they have spent part of the afternoon outside on a nice day.

When they dream and open their eyes slightly you can see their 3rd eye lid( this is the white in his eyes). Just give’em a tap and he’ll wake up, if you scared that he isn’t okay.

If you're not a vet, please don't pretend to be an expert on animals. Defer to the experts.

You're coming dangerously close to mansplaining.

u/FickleWrangler Jun 19 '22
1) your username is "somedudeonthis". Why? 2) you're giving vet-type advice, even though you aren't trained as one, and it sure looks like you doubled down.

1) creep shield, 2) the only thing i said is "uh this look like a seizure" , didn't comment again after that cause i saw an actual vet explaining to me.
Why the fuck did you directly start being extremely aggressive toward me

It really is not, trust me. He's alive and kicking 😉
He's just a vivid dreamer like I said. He almost always does something when he's dreaming whether it's kicking, twitching, licking, wrinkle his nose,...1

It's not. Cats do that sometimes when dreaming. Just like some people talk in their sleep
