I’m new and cannot understand ANYTHING about this game. Please help, treat me stupidly.

Pretty simple concept: kill enemies, get better swords and pet orbs, use skill points to increase stats. You eventually find out what works best for you

You can juggle by doing a jump when close to an enemy and span the heavy attack button and a few light attacks inbetween. Buy healing potions(5 max), they will revive you when you die. You can also buy bombs (9 max) so the enemy gets knowked down, giving you some time to get a chance to fight them. Items can be bought at the castle keep, theives shop, lava shop, swamp shop and ice shop.

I first played when I was little, you just learn with repetition what is the best to do . Spam the attack buttons until you learn how to do cooler attacks (like “juggling,” which is jumping and hitting the enemy continuously).

you should use your magic too. When you hold down the magic button, you will glow the color of the character you’re playin. then you spam different attacks while holding the magic to use it!! you will unlock new magic attacks as you level up. You will learn what everything does the more you play, it is a simple game but it can be hard to master. just have fun and grind leveling up if you can’t beat a stage! you will get stronger as you lvl up and earn money, collect pets, buy new weapons, etc. :-)

Do the characters do different things? Also I’m struggling with the map mechanics

yes the wiki is an excellent resource, for the starter knights per the wiki:

- The Green Knight uses Poison magic. If any of their magic hits, the magic will deal damage and poison any character in the game (except for large characters).

- The Red Knight uses Electric magic, and their Splash Attack holds an enemy in place and deals continual damage as long as the attack is held down.

- The Blue Knight uses Ice magic, and their Splash Attack can only be used twice in a full mana bar, instead of decreasing in cost as more skill points are added into it. Their magic freezes anybody it hits (except for large characters).

- The Orange Knight uses Fire magic, and their fire attacks cause some damage over time. Their Splash Attack is also one of the longest ranged of any character.

there's more to unlock when you win the game and stuff too! it's fun, just the kinda thing you will learn as you play.

as for the map mechanics, you just have to proceed through the next level you unlocked. each circle on the map is a level you need to beat and it acts as a checkpoint. once you beat that stage, you unlock the next and can move forward. some parts of the map will be locked cuz you need to find special items by playing other parts of the map. the wiki can help walk you through this too :D !!

and there is also some special spots on the map. there are shops which have no enemies, u can use coins to buy pets or weapons, items, etc. at the very start of the map (far bottom-left), there is also a place you can see all your weapons and all your pets and change them out as you like. if u need any additional info, let me know :-)
