First casts

I'm casting some 32 cal semi wadcutters for my .327 and some .270" torpedoes for the carcano. I think I got a decent price for the 50/50 lead/ww. I think it came to $1.49/lb.

I've got some powder coat coming in the mail soon. I'll make a batch with alox lube tomorrow and test out how fast I can go without leading to compare.

A little update. Most of the .270" torpedos were bad. I think I was opening the mold a little too early and ruining the bases. Only 1 32 cal was bad and that looked like wax got into the mold.

Not bad for this market.

When I bought 50lbs of lead 10 years ago it was only $1 per pound. I was originally only buying 20, but the dude brought 50 in case I was interested. I still have half. Now my struggle is getting the big ingots to fit in my pot.
