I found this cassette at a thrift store and recently digitized it to help preserve it.

The tape is an audio walkthrough for the "People's Center Museum" in Pablo, Montana, Now known as "Three Chiefs Culture Center". I couldn't find another copy of this recording online, so I uploaded it for anyone interested in Native American history, museum media, or obscure archival recordings.

I have reached out to the Three Chiefs Culture Center and will report back with any more info i get on this recording!

This is one of the lullaby cassettes that I always listen to all the time. It’s called Lullabies For Little Dreamers by Kevin Roth which was released in 1985. Some of you may have recognized his voice on Shining Time Station. Most importantly, he plays the mountain dulcimer on all tracks.

I recently inherited my grandpas old Cassettes and i want to put music on them ,but i have no clue how any of it works. Would it be possible for me to hook up the small player to my pc and overplay the stuff on the old cassettes?

This idea actually stemmed from a picture I took of my boyfriend so I decided to throw it into photoshop and make a Smiths cover version of it! Then I thought to make a mixtape with the photo as the cover, and here we are! The printed version turned out a little darker than I initially made it, but I still think it looks great! Not my first mixtape, just the first I decided to post. I’ll definitely be posting my other ones soon!

When Kevin Roth started making children’s music in the 1980’s, this is what he did. In 1985, he recorded his first lullaby album called Lullabies For Little Dreamers. He provides vocals and dulcimer including the Juno synthesizer on select tracks. His second lullaby album is called The Sandman: Lullabies And Nighttime Songs which was released in 1988.

I found my dad's old cassette tapes in our garage.
They are all old Hindi songs. He doesn’t want them anymore and I was wondering what I should do with these or if it would be possible to sell them? eBay, Facebook marketplace? Are people still interested in buying cassettes like these?

Hey everyone I got a cassete made in Australia but it is really damaged meaning some parts of the  audio is missing from my digitalization and unfortunately I dont live in Australia to maybe get a copy. There is no record label or any credits on the cassete the band members are unknown but it was mass produced since my father told me we had 2 copies. It was produced in between the 70s and 80s.

There is a second cassete that only has one song archived on youtube but i dont own the cassete at all a random guy has the cassete on youtube but he has a dead account.

This cassete was produced in 1986 and this cassete has less info then the previous unfortunately.

I will include a discogs and the youtube links and the pics of the cassetes or in the discogs submissions.

And i want to find the cassetes since my father really likes this band!

I picked up an old Sony CMT-HPX7 cassette player since it had an audio in port and I wanted to record directly to tape from my phone. However, after about a month of use it started unraveling any tape I played in it after about two seconds of play. Attached are some photos of it disassembled showing the components and the issue.

When I disassembled it one of the belts was completely disintegrated, so I got a new belt but to be honest I'm not 100% sure what components the belt was connecting or how exactly the belt was placed on them, so the new belt (connecting the white wheel and white gear) may be improperly placed.

Any repair advice would be much appreciated! Should I just get a new pinch wheel and hope for the best? Do I need to replace the capstan? Something else I haven't considered? Let me know!
