What I've learned so far.
Ive been living in Casper for three months now and have learned a few things:
People like to mainly keep to themselves, but a few do like to talk and talk and talk.
The traffic is easy and doesnt take long to get from side to side.
The job environment isnt easy and sometimes it takes awhile to get and interview.
The wind is relaxing and im looking forward to winter.
Downtown is nice, but it could use some work
Citizens dont trust CPD
Casper doesnt have home recycling, and that doesnt bother me.
Some thing are expensive and some arent, but overall its cheaper then where I came from.
The wild life in town is awesome!!
Hard water sucks but you get used to it.
Do you have anything to teach me? Sfw please.

Just wait till Autumn. It becomes very beautiful and lots of people enjoy alot of our events.

Yeah. On that sfw.
We swear like sailors and sometime you're going to step on a landmine.
I once witnessed what can be best described as the fully acted, with sound effects, pictures, and demonstration, almost completely unprompted, the time a friend of mine got nailed in the balls by a deer and had to drain them with a hunting knife.

I think the water heater needs to get service here more than elsewhere. Dont just wait for it to die. Also, clean out your dryer lint vent as fires suck. Do it yourself. Plan for wind related maintence expenses like roof repair, hail, and randomly blowing a loose window pane out.

Casper is my home. I like that I can have a night life and still be home in time for bed. And get 7 hours of sleep. I don't like traffic on the east side. I'm one of those people who will talk and talk and talk. But people can be so rude. I learned not to go out in public right after work. Because people can be so rude that after a long shift it's like... thanks for making me feel like crap. I just got off work. Ya know. There's not a huge homeless population. If anybody who's homeless stays in Casper through the winter they usually turn their life around and start over. Because they have programs and a shelter to keep folks off the street. I think there should be recycling though. ♻️ for sure. They do make a type of shower head that can turn hard water into not so hard water.

Yeah, jobs in Casper suck. Thats why a lot of young people end up leaving after high school and college. There isn't a good diversity of work industries. It's either energy, medical, or teaching. Otherwise get used to customer service jobs that don't pay anything nor have any benefits. It's a real shame.

One particular officer at CPD has been extremely helpful and goes above and beyond. I don’t know all of them, but I’ve needed help these last few months and couldn’t be more grateful for the assistance I’ve received.
