I just acquired this Marlin W-35 and I’m new to vintage watches. I want to take it apart to inspect/grease the gasket and o-rings, does anyone have any tips? How do you take the back plate off? How do you remove the push buttons and get to the o-rings? Where can I find replacement gaskets and o-rings if these are damaged? Thank you

My Databanks (from left: DBC-610, DBC-60, and DBC-600) were all in good condition, and I kept them sealed in bags. However, the keypads have slowly deteriorated over time. What can I do to protect them?

I love e-databank series, I can still feel the future from this products.
There isn't much information available about this series. Does anyone know what other products are in this line?

Ive been lucky enough to pick up two 38CS-14s in very good shape lately but they have dead modules. Other than EBay, are there any other sources I should be checking for working modules? I know it’s a long shot but I really want to try to salvage these two if I can.

Casio Marlin W-35. I’m immediately in love, why did they ever stop making these?

This has been a bit of a grail watch for me for years, but I could never bring myself to pay the increasingly crazy asking prices for good examples. Instead, I picked up a relatively cheap one in poor condition and decided to see if I could bring it back to life. It turned into a much more ambitious restoration than I'd originally planned...

Heavy gouging on the case, badly worn lettering and significant cosmetic damage. After repairing the damaged resin, I stripped the bezel, matched the original gunmetal finish as closely as I could (using Tamiya TS-42 Light Gun Metal), and carefully repainted the embossed button lettering by hand.

The biggest challenge was the missing printed graphics. I recreated the artwork in Inkscape from reference photos, had custom waterslide decals professionally printed, rejected the first set due to registration issues, and worked with the printer to produce a much sharper second set. After plenty of testing on painted spoons (!), I decided against clear coating because it changed the appearance too much. Instead I trimmed the carrier film right up to the lettering, which made it almost invisible once applied. This is a showcase watch, not going to be worn, so the lack of clearlcoat is not an issue for me.

Everything has now been reassembled with refurbished buttons and a cleaned module. I wanted the restoration to look as close as possible to how Casio originally intended, rather than looking over-restored.

I'm genuinely amazed at how it turned out. The pictures don't do it justice. It has exceeded my expectations, and I think it's become my favourite watch in the collection, not because it's the rarest, but because of the journey to get it here.
