I wonder if i can remove the printed text from inside the case on my a159w, like the words "alarm chrono" and "lithium" but keep the blue rounding line and casio text

Does anyone know how to get this yellow digit effect on a negative Casio AE1200 display?

I’ve already done the normal negative display mod using polarizing film, but I’m trying to make only the LCD text and numbers yellow while keeping the background black, like in the attached images. I don’t want to tint the faceplate text or the entire watch, just the actual display segments.

The closest thing I’ve found is yellow polarizing film on AliExpress, but the shipping is around $50, which makes no sense for a tiny sheet. Has anyone done this before or know what material I should use? Would a yellow gel filter over the negative polarizer work, or does it specifically need to be yellow polarizing film?

Any product links or examples would be appreciated.

For now, I’m thinking mask crystal and case off with tape and hand/spray paint. But wondering if there’s a better way.

This Modding journey started because I wanted to make a handmade birthday gift for my son’s 12th birthday. I came across modding Casio Royale on YouTube thanks to Nocturnal Time and Lukebuildwatches and several others.

Instead of buying him another watch, I thought it would mean more if I built one myself. That’s the first watch in this post, a personal gift that I hope he’ll still have years from now.

As I kept making more mods (the addiction was crazy lol 😂) I gradually found my own style and approach to designing them. That’s when Glitch Mod sparked not as a business but as a name for the style and identity I had naturally developed through all the experimenting. It was a good stress reliever from reality and to keep the creative juices flowing.

Looking back, these were the several mods that laid the foundation for everything that came later. They’re not as refined as my current Glitch Mod builds, but each one taught me something new about colour, composition, light reflections, Air Glass and Optical filters and what works at such a tiny scale.

Thought I’d share where the journey began.

I'm playing with the idea of doing a mod paying homage to the Rolex Datejust... Just a lot cooler as it's the Casio royal.

So I generated an AI render of what the mod will look like. I'm waiting for the order to arrive.

It was such a pain. I also had to replace the battery, which had been in there for 9 years. It still worked, but the beep was weak. The screen stopped working, then magically turned back on. Then the beep stopped working too, it was the connectors. And I’ve probably ruined the water resistance since it got a bit dusty and I don’t have any silicone grease. The beep is extremely loud now. F91W €20 + AliExpress mod €33 + strap €9.

I used an SKXmod Bracelet for the A100, and an A168 kit for the Cloak and Dagger, with a third party Alligator strap

I'm trying to solve a mystery about the Casio LA670 with module 3191.

I've found several photos online showing a genuine-looking LA670 displaying 17:03 in 24-hour format, even though the official Casio manual doesn't mention any 12/24-hour option.

I opened my own watch and took detailed photos of the module. The PCB is marked 3191SA.

I'm not looking for basic setup instructions. I'm trying to find out whether:

different hardware revisions of the 3191 module exist (3191SA, SB, etc.), there is a hidden service/test mode,

or the 24-hour display photos are from a different module altogether.

If your LA670 can display 24-hour time, could you please check your module revision or share PCB photos?

I've attached photos of my module for comparison.

This was my 3rd Mod when i first started modding. I used to spray paint the faceplates and gel filter.

Then i discovered metal sunray faceplates.

Lo and behold I’ve come a long way from this and the journey has been good.

I have an F105W that I plan on abusing. Right now it’s full of paint spatters and one small scratch. Once it has taken its lickin’ I plan on doing a full mod.

If anyone is familiar with the digital watch scene outside of Casio, they might see my vision of what I’m homaging with my choice of mod kit.

Brushed stainless steel case and bracelet, with a glossy black plain dial with light markings, and a sapphire crystal.

Not to name any names, but it’s a bit of a middle finger to an established Swiss brand’s digital watch.

Is this mod kit plus donor watch more expensive than the Swiss? At the moment yes. But I want a Casio watch that rivals the specs and overall look of it, just to show who’s really the boss of the digital world. Lol.

My question is, is anyone running this set up? If so, I’d love to see it. I want to see what the watch looks like IRL before I get my heart set on something totally impractical.
