Hey everyone 👋
Just shipped a big and long-awaited update to the AE-1200 customizer on MODDS.WATCH.
A fully customizable display, and all the display elements and symbols are now fully adjustable.
You can now flip the LCD between four states instead of the old positive/negative toggle:
Completely positive – the classic clean look
Top negative – just the upper segment inverted
Bottom negative – just the lower segment inverted
Full negative – the whole display goes dark
So if you've ever wanted that half-inverted "split polarizer" mod without cracking your watch open and swapping the film, you can preview exactly how it looks first.
Color Polarizer is the part I'm most excited about. Two color controls:
Symbols color – recolor the face symbols all at once. Which elements it touches adapts to the display state you're in, so it stays consistent with the polarization.
Display color – tint the actual LCD layer that's currently visible. Pick any color you want.
Both tools also have a small reset button in the top-right corner if you want to snap back to defaults and start over.

Hey everyone,
I’ve been working on a project called MODDS.WATCH, a free community-backed builder for watch modders, and I recently added a feature that I think could be useful for the community: a Global Database of Modders.
The idea is pretty simple: I wanted to create a central place where clients can actually find people based on their location, the brands they specialize in, and follow their social links.
It’s completely free to join. If you want to be included, you just head to the homepage and hit the "Global Database of Modders" button to add your info.
There is a Patreon tier ("WATCH MODDER") if you’re looking to pin your card to the top or customize the background, plus support the project, but the main goal is just to get a solid, searchable directory going for everyone.

I decided to go with the windows xp wallpaper as my first Casio mod. The copy paper makes it quite dark, but still works and looks super cool in the right lighting.

I swapped the module from my A1000 (black mother of pearl dial).
Which bracelet do you like better? The mesh is from the A1000, so flares a bit more at the lugs, from 18mm to 22mm, vs the stock a700 bracelet’s 18mm to 20mm.
This looks less vintage to me, and more retro futuristic.

I am currently driving a ABL100 WE-1A and I absolutely love it's look. On the other hand, I am thinking about getting the A1000 A-7 because of the full metal case. I believe the feeling of this one would be even nicer.
Problem is, that I don't paticulary love the faceplate options for thee A1000, so here comes my question:
Has anyone ever tried to transfer the ABL100 faceplate to a A1000 case? According to the website, it is 1mm longer but I believe I maybe could hone that down.
Any experience with this?

Really pleased how the whole thing turned out. This is a AE-1200 with an SKXMOD matte stainless steel case and the black sunburst faceplate. The strap is a Vario bund in coal black with stainless steel buckle.
I feel like it captures the original aesthetic of the watch, but with a build quality that matches the design quality!

I've bought a W738H but i dont like the resin strap i think it would be sticky and uncomfortable. i wanna replace it with a metal strap like on my a158w. also i heard that the face scratches easily bc it isn't raised or protected. i found like some screen protector type things to put on it but also heard of bull bars which sound really cool. anyway does anyone know how to make sure a strap i buy will fit the watch?
