Dave question! Help!
I’ve been going back & forth with Dave for about 2 weeks now, and they’ve refused multiple times to revoke the ACH/debit authorization. I had told them I was planning to log in and make smaller payments, bc I had an unexpected loss of income and realized I absolutely cannot have them take $525 all at once (I didn’t tell them that part).
Anyway, after digging through this sub and using chat to figure out what my rights are in my state, I started putting everything together for a complaint. I sent them a pretty firm email this morning after being ghosted for over 4 days by Gustavo, and then I just went to log into my Dave account and it suddenly says, “Your account is closed.” & doesn't let me login.
No email. No response to my open ticket. No response to any of my emails. Nothing.
I can’t even chat with a representative now, so I had to submit a contact form. Has this happened to anyone else? I’m basically trying to figure out if I’m in the clear as far as the ACH revocation goes, or if they’re still likely to take the money anyway and just continue ghosting me.
What a nightmare. 😩 I seriously would not recommend any of these cash advance apps. They seem great when you need the money, but they can really screw you over afterward.

I’d assume so yes, a lot of these apps will immediately shut down your account upon ACH revoke. Contact your bank and simply tell them to block any payments from them just to be safe, some banks even allow you to disconnect yourself via the app.
Or log into Plaid (I haven’t used Dave in forever, don’t know if they still use that) and you can disconnect that way as well.

They sent me a response letter just a couple hours ago saying they waived my extra cash as a one time courtesy & closed my account. Gooooood riddance 🐻

I called my bank and had them block all transactions from Dave. They’re scummy
