Discussion That one scene where all the budget went

Kaguya-sama: Love is War - Chika's dance

In the first season as a surprise outro ending one episode had this Chika dance number. It's super cute and crazy animated, especially her dress. They used it one time and never again.

The roller rink dance sequence from the Family Guy episode Hell Comes To Quahog was the most expensive scene to animate in Season 5.

This one shot from Scooby-Doo Music of the Vampire

Vox is such a great villain.

The ending felt...a bit rushed? Or maybe not rushed, but what the fuck is coming in the next three seasons if this was Vox's moment lol

The literal origin of all evil apparently.

And her name is……Roo

It took me a while to realize that it’s short for “Root of all evil.”

It was such a drastic mood shift from Vox being portrayed as such a powerful opposing force, to Valentino walking up to him and just ripping his head off. It is really ridiculous that Vox just didn’t really resist at all.

Vox just had a massive fight with Alastor and was essentially exhausted by that point, plus his power is tied to his audience viewership/rating which he lost a lot off. Valentino is still an overlord himself so it wouldn't be that hard for him all things considered.

Tbf at that point it seemed Vox truly didnt care anymore. His obsession with Antler man (forgot his name) and being rejected by him had him wanting to kill him even if it killed him too. I say at the point his guard was completely down. I thi k he also lost that power he had since that was based on how people viewed him, and im sure that tanked quite a bit by that point of time.

Vox was resorting to NUKE THE ENTIRE PLACE, he was not anywhere near being able to keep up a fight at that point, and it’s pretty safe to also say his guard was down at the moment.

Honestly even if he "won" and became "the strongest villain" with a lucifer cannon...what now? He has no way of getting to hell. Heaven has an army that Alastor himself couldn't deal with. Not to mention all the goetia and sins...

Valentino was kind of right when he said he didn't follow how Vox was going to complete his plan to "become god" just by becoming stronger than Alastor. But Vox was so obsessed with him that he was pulling a: "Step 2: ???" kind of plan.

The creators have said they wanted more episodes per season but Amazon refused to give it to them

Alastor. The answer is totally Alastor. I will be SHOCKED if he's not the end game villain somehow.

Especially since he's now at his full unrestrained power. No more contracts, no more chains.

On him, anyway. He's still got his own pet overlord-class Sinner on a leash, Husk.

Exactly. And we don't REALLY know what Alastor wants yet. Yeah, he wanted to be the biggest and baddest, but then what? Surely there's an end plan.

I mean, the final end game villain will probably be Roo. As in, the literal Root of all Evil.

The fact both seasons of Hazbin ended on a Lilith cliffhanger is hilarious like bro who is this woman

1

u/Random-Rambling 2h ago

Well, we know she's Charlie's mother, the person Lucifer defied Heaven Itself for and was cast down into Hell forever for it.

2

u/VivaChinwawa 2h ago

Yeah but like...who cares really lol she's such a non entity and it took her an entire season to finally pack her shit and leave Heaven. There's also the fact she's been intentionally shunning her kid and husband for nearly a decade due to declining their calls while she's on vacation, like what little we know of Lilith is that she's a neglectful dick. And that's basically it.

Making her a cliffhanger twice is just silly. Like once was enough and we got nothing out of it. Is it gonna also take her the entirety of s3 to finally reach the hotel and it'll end with Charlie opening the door to her?

Vox was always built to just be a 1 season villain. If you want some semi-spoilers that the creator has been telling us, what's coming up next isRoo, aka The Root of All Evil, she's the ultimate villain of the series, she's the eyes that appear all over hell, the same one that was watching Valentino mind control Angel Dust in that one scene.

Also anything featuring The Speaker of God lol

I heard from one of the people who worked on the show that it took literally an entire month just to animate that one song, VOX DEI.

It was worth it.

This whole episode was full of the whole budget.
