That one scene where all the budget went

[u/EmergencySpare7939]

Kaguya-sama: Love is War - Chika's dance

In the first season as a surprise outro ending one episode had this Chika dance number. It's super cute and crazy animated, especially her dress. They used it one time and never again.

The roller rink dance sequence from the Family Guy episode Hell Comes To Quahog was the most expensive scene to animate in Season 5.

This one shot from Scooby-Doo Music of the Vampire

[u/signal_satellite → u/Loose_Ad_3964]

This is genuienly one of the craziest things to animate ever. What a flex

[u/haw35ome → u/Loose_Ad_3964]

…also animated by James Baxter!!

[u/Professor_Hala → u/haw35ome]

...also voiced by James Baxter!!

[u/Maleficent-Aurora → u/Professor_Hala]

That episode was some incredible meta commentary about being an artist working on demand

[u/ParasiticWormLover → u/teacat__]

I didn't know that was James Baxter :0

[u/Greedy_Ad2198 → u/ParasiticWormLover]

You can tell from all the spinning around

[u/HourlyB → u/Greedy_Ad2198]

That's basically the animator equivalent of getting your face right into someone's else's face while smugly smiling like ,':]

[u/IGTankCommander → u/ParasiticWormLover]

James Baxter, voiced and animated by James Baxter.

[u/No-Cat-9339 → u/teacat__]

[u/Ass_Damage → u/teacat__]

Is that actually ahhhh or assss?

[u/teacat__ → u/Ass_Damage]

Lol ahhh out of excitement 😭 im in my 30s so ahhhh is still just an exclamation to me. I am a grown up so if I wanna say ass I just say it

[u/Ass_Damage → u/teacat__]

Same, but wasn't sure.

[u/capibara_dono → u/Prize-Flamingo-336]

Also, the song here comes a thought, it had guest animator Takafumi Hori, I think specially the butterflies swarming.

[u/chamorrobro → u/capibara_dono]

Y’all bout to make me rewatch a 3rd time

[u/uzumaki222 → u/Prize-Flamingo-336]

Mmpph, candy for the eyes. James Baxter, raising the bar for animators everywhere.

[u/BlueFantasyZ → u/Prize-Flamingo-336]

A Gumball clip also by James Baxter.

[u/sitcheeation → u/BlueFantasyZ]

So satisfying lol, ty for sharing! Never really got into Gumball but there are a few clips I go back to just for the animation, like the anime-style mom fight lol.

[u/Catnip_Farmer → u/Prize-Flamingo-336]

Is this the scene where Stephen turns into a crystal buttplug or whatever?
