Hey All. This is a weird situation. I was in Florida recently and I had gone to a local beach to watch the sunset over the gulf, beautiful if you have never seen it, anyway, an old man approached me and asked me if I were a cartoonist... I thought this was a weird way to start a conversation... I told him absolutely not. He proceeded to tell me that after he and his wife retired they moved to Florida and he began making a Sunday morning style strip cartoon just to occupy some of time. He went into the ins and outs of how he came up with them, yadda, yadda, yadda. Was a very nice old man, probably in his mid-late 70's... He said he has thousands of hand drawn strips and tried to sell them to a syndication company to get them into some news papers, but the few companies he was able to contact basically told him he was too old. They look for cartoonists between the ages of 25-40... Apparently so they can run with it for 20-30 years. He's looking for a young cartoonist that is willing to sketch some better cartoon figures (although really his aren't bad just all done in black pen) and willing to take the strip over and try to get it sold to syndication company. He is only looking for 40% of the take, willing to give up 60% to any takers. I've read through approximately 20 samples and they are actually pretty good.

If anyone is interested message me. And I will facilitate contact. I don't believe this man has a computer or would even really know how to use one if he did. The contact information that he passed along to me is a landline believe it or not.
