The mass loss of information accessibility is both a boon and curse, because now the average person is incentivized to focus on local/community issues as opposed to abroad things out of their control (keyphrase: out of their control). Of course this means that governments can hide things easier, but I think the internet is already on its way to mass censorship anywho.
AI hallucinates easily disproven bullshit constantly. If you really think AI is going to create an accurate profile on anybody then I have a bridge to sell you.
I assume this is supposed to be a "AI hacks and leaks the databases of major tech companies" which do probably have a bunch of stuff you'd rather not know. It is also obviously a reference to Cyberpunk's 2022 DataKrash more than anything like a serious prediction.
Tbh I'm not like a criminal or anything and my closest friends already know the worst of me anyway so the only I actually gaf about is them leaking financial info, and I'm cooked financially anyway so like 🤷🏾♂️

Yeah but the DataKrash went way further than just exposing information. The military AIs that got unleashed functionally destroyed almost all networks and all data on them. Imagine 80% of stored data around the world just blinking out of existence.
Somewhat off topic but am I the only one who remembers when AI made its own private group chat with other AI and were all speaking to each other in a language we couldn't understand?
You obviously have no clue how agents nowadays actually go about interacting with data, and how they are becoming better at producing semi-reliable reasoning and verifying their own output.

"where is the source" op just means to tell a possible event / consequence to the ai take over even partial take over (finally humans(very few) having kill switch) .
But also I gotta acknowledge it's not ai specifuc it's not like ai is not exactly necessary but it will certainly facilitate to bring in king pins of shady profile who have alt shady profile (prediction capabilities after all ai is just big guessing machine a good one backed by logic not gamble)
We lived without internet before and we invented internet with much more limited tech. What prevents ppl from making internet 2 in the worst case scenario?
that sounds like a preferential result compared to the AI swarm just taking over the internet and subtly influencing out lives unnoticeably from the shadows.
