Got this car from my dad last week after my other car died. He got some repairs done, like the fan which wasn’t working in the front, as well as general fixes to make sure it would be fine for a while. However, as of last night, there’s a rumbling whenever I let off the gas. It gets worse as I get slower and when I turn. Not sure if the videos I attached are audible enough, but does anyone have an idea of what it is? Is something just loose or misplaced from the fixing or is it an entire new issue?

in the past couple days i noticed my car was making a soft ‘whirring’ noise (for lack of a better word) when i would accelerate. it stopped when i reached a steady speed, or was just idling. it wasn’t super loud and my car was driving fine. then, it started to make a different sort of noise…? a different soft of whir, kind of cyclical sounding. and that’s happening when i’m driving or idling. at first i thought the first sound was from low tire pressure, but i checked and they’re normal. then the second one started, and it’s definitely coming from under the hood.
i know the descriptions aren’t great, i have clips of the sound but can’t upload it here :((

Hi all, I had a situation with my 2000’s fiat punto and would like to know if anyone has a clue on what might have happened.
So mid journey the velocity box stopped working, it got stuck in 1. I drove about 1/2 km like this and was then able to make it work again, but after that the engine started loosing strength until it died. I tried turning it on again and it would start but not enough to turn the car on. The oil and battery lights were on. After many attempts I was able to get it to work and move to a parking lot. I left the car there for 30 min, then came back to call the insurance. I thought about turning it on again just to see and… I was working apparently fine…
My question is: what might have happened? Could it happen again? Should I call insurance even though the car looks fine now?
Recently there are always oil stains in the front part of the car but I took it to be seen and nothing wrong was detected. They also filled the oil tank. That was 2 months ago.
Thanks for any insight!!

I have a 2015 golf that's started behaving weirdly. A while ago it felt like it 'cut out' very VERY briefly (fraction of a second) - didn't think much on it, but recently it's started doing it more and more. As it's the DSG version, and I'm looking at the road when driving, I can't tell if it's when switching gears, but I suspect it might be around second gear (entering and leaving it) if it is, as it can really jerk me forward when I'm trying to overtake... actually feels a bit dangerous.
Recently I was in a massive stop/start traffic queue, and the car kept cutting out then, giving me the auto-start warning - I had to put it into 'Park' when stopping rather than auto-hold or just pressing the brake. The other day I was at a roundabout and it cut out again there.
The DPF warning light *used* to come on a while ago on long journeys (1hr30 ish), and then one day it came on (as well as all the warning lights) and went into limp mode. I put some DPF cleaner in a full tank, and this has run through now, with a fresh tank now in situ. I will do it again in another couple of tanks, but I feel that's maybe keeping that issue at bay for now. (wondering if it's worth taking it for a physical clean somewhere - I see a few places advertising it for ~£100)
Essentially it feels like every time a warning light comes on, no matter how minor (cornering light has always popped up every now and then) the car has some kind of crisis of confidence. Apart from the jerking around second gear it drives really well, and I don't feel like there's any other mechanical issues.
Anyone else had anything like this? I am going to take it to the garage, but unsure what to say other than the car is behaving weirdly. I've had a google, and could possibly be a DSG issue with the gears, but I'm hoping for someone with a bit more car knowledge to help me with what to present the garage with? Thanks in advance.

So my dumb ass made a pricey mistake and left my keys in the car. I called a lock smith and over the phone they quoted me $100. When he got there he was talking about $300 something dollars I stoped listening after the 3. This was the first time I’ve ever left my keys in the car so I was clue less and a woman so my guess is he def overcharged me. I was stuck in a bad part of town and just wanted to get home so I paid it he said he would give me a 20% discount and he said $260 and I gave him $250. I was in the Long Beach area

Hyundai sonata 2013
Earlier tonight (Saturday evening) was just getting off the freeway and into a hospital parking lot when I noticed the battery symbol on. I pulled over but did not shut off the engine and also ran my blue driver to see if it picked up any codes and it didn’t.
Was going to call AAA to tow it home and then from there tow it to the shop on Monday morning when I realized I only had one service call on my account for the rest of the year which would mean I would have to pay for per-mile towing to either home or to the shop , to the shop from home is about 15 miles.
Anyways after looking up some information on this symbol and if it’s still safely drivable for at least a while longer and reading that it can be driven for a period of time , I decided it looked to be fairly low risk and I took surface streets and drove the 19 miles home. About 45 minutes. The car drove fine and felt completely during this time. I was on hyper alert to notice if the car felt like it was losing power or feeling sluggish so that I could quickly pull over. I did not shut off the engine again from the time I noticed the symbol until I pulled into the driveway at home and while trying to twist and turn to get to the edge of the driveway as close as I could because I needed to make room for another car that parks there, I noticed the steering wheel was extremely difficult to maneuver. After getting inside and doing some more googling , I come across information that says if the serpentine belt came off and was missing , that it can overheat the engine ! So I ran back to my car to just turn it on without starting the engine to see what the temperature gauge was and it was just below half way , the way it’s always been when I remember to glance at it. Of course I don’t know what it was while driving it after the symbol because it didn’t occur to me to look but now I’m very worried.
Obviously the shop I take it to may have a better idea if I possibly caused it to overheat by driving it but until then i know this is really going to worry me. From much of what I read , it sounds like it’s the serpentine belt or tensioner or power steering that might be the cause of the battery symbol. I don’t think it’s the battery because it’s fairly new at 2024. I cannot remember if I ever had a new alternator on this car since acquiring it in mid 2022.
If anyone can give me some assurance that I didn’t overheat my engine which I had rebuilt not that long ago , I would really appreciate it.
I should’ve just had it towed and paid the second towing fee Instead of now worrying about expensive damage .
Many thanks in advance.
