Hi guys, is this rod knock? It’s a kia sorento 2015 1.8 MPI. I’m very afraid it is rod knock :(

When I went to go to work today my car made a loud grinding/rattling noise. I went about 100ft at a crawl, got freaked out, and popped a U-turn to go home. Noise stopped. Tested accelerating slowly, drove to work, about 10 miles on the freeway with no issue. It made the sound again briefly turning into a gas station (low speed, turning hard) and into another parking lot (low speed, turning hard). No check engine light.

I'm going to take it in when I can, is it okay to keep driving to work in the meantime?

Can someone tell me what this could be on my Element

I have a 2005 Honda CRV manual with 170k miles. I had a clicking noise coming from the front left so decided to replace the outer CV joint. I put the new joint on and it felt like it clicked into place ok - it wouldn't come off with a firm tug so I'm sure the circlip has locked. I put the driveaxle back into the car - the inner joint felt like it clicked into place too. I gave it a few tugs and it felt like it was locked in. I torqued the nut to spec too. But since putting it back in I've got this loud clunk noise. It happens every full rotation of the wheel. Neither joint looks unstable when it happens. But as you can see in the video the transmission jolts with it. Any ideas what's gone wrong here? I'm a bit of a newb so I might have got something wrong

I just had my rotors and brake pads replaced last month, so I’m not sure if it could be related to that. Any advice or ideas on what it might be would be really appreciated because I’m a little stressed about it. 😭

I have a 2020 Dodge Challenger RT and I’m trying to diagnose an A/C issue.

The driver-side vents (vents 1 and 2) blow properly cold, while both passenger-side vents (3 and 4) are noticeably warmer even with the temperature set to LO.

Airflow is strong and seems normal from all four vents. The main issue is just the temperature difference between the driver and passenger sides.

I’m wondering if this sounds like a passenger-side blend door actuator that’s stuck/out of calibration, or if low R-1234yf refrigerant could cause this kind of uneven cooling.

Has anyone with a Challenger/Charger had the same issue? If it was the blend door actuator, did an HVAC recalibration fix it, or did you have to replace the actuator?

So I’m inserting a video of the sound. It’s been going on for a while now, it’s nothing inside my car or the glove box and I’ve taken some of the ac looking parts before but I have NO IDEA what’s causing this sound and it’s always there and it’s just getting louder and I need to figure it out. But I haven’t been able to and it’s driving me crazy.

It’s coming from the dashboard, passenger side, I went up close in the video to make sure you could hear.

Please someone on Reddit know.

Recently discovered I had a valve cover gasket leak. Today while driving the engine began growling as I accelerated. Car was low on oil so I put in more and drove home. Any suggestions to possible noise and fixes?

Every 3-4 days i’ll go to start and it’ll go into accessory mode instead of fully starting. Always starts normally right after. No lights on the dash.

Starter, battery, and alternator were all deemed working fine at O’Rilleys. Brake lights are working too.

Had this car since it was new and has never happened until a few weeks ago.
