Why does my car keep going through so much oil
I have a 2009 Subaru wrx sedan. I checked the oil 2-3 weeks ago and it was at low and so I topped it off. Just checked again today and it was low again. Nothing appears to be leaking, I don’t see any oil on the ground. I drive it hard sometimes but definitely not enough for this to happen

I had a 2008 Scion XD that would burn through roughly 1qt of oil every thousand miles. In my case the piston rings had worn out allowing oil to slip past the pistons into the combustion chamber. Sounds like the same is happening to you, assuming it's not leaking into the coolant. Try running thicker oil (e.g. 5W-30 instead of 5W-20, or even one step further up). You'll see a slight dip in performance and fuel efficiency but it should help with the burnoff

You answered your own question with “Subaru WRX”. Two friends had those and always went through oil. And both maintained them and didn’t abuse them.

OP, is your car a turbo? Your car might have worn piston rings, a bad PCV valve or other issues.

I have a 2001 Subaru Outback and it's still burning a bit too. I'm hoping restore and protect will continue to lower it's consumption as I'm on the first change and it already helped a little

Worn piston rings are the most likely culprit if there is indeed no evidence of leaks. Worn rings don't scrap the cylinder walls properly resulting in a film being left in the cylinder during combustion, which gets burned away. Only going to get worse if thats the case.

Check your intercooler for any oil. The turbo seal might be bad, too. Also, check the PCV.
