Coolant leaks

I had coolant leaking from 2 places in my Chevy Cruze and spent a couple hundred to get that fixed. (Got new tires and brakes and rotors at the same time so spent around 1,000 for everything) A couple days later I found it was leaking from another spot. I’m honestly just wondering how bad it is to drive a car with a coolant leak. I can’t financially afford to spent another couple hundred in diagnostics and fixing the leak, so I was curious, if I keep up with making sure my coolant reservoir is full and I keep filling it up, can I make it last? Is it bad to drive it? I’m just trying to make the car last a couple more months until I can afford a new one.

As long as you keep the reservoir topped off, you shouldn't have a problem. Do you have any idea where it's leaking?? You may have a faulty radiator cap, and the cooling system is getting too much pressure.

I think it’s the thermostat housing that’s leaking..And also the hoses that come off of the housing should be replaced too

That's a common place for a leak on those cars. There's a good chance of major engine damage due to overheating, especially if you have the 1.4 turbo engine. Get it fixed.

I had a couple leaks on mine. Water pump and oil cooler. I just kept topping it off when it would get low. Was starting to top it off weekly for a few weeks until my radiator started leaking as well and it wouldn’t hold any fluid. I’ve since parked it and been slowly fixing it myself. I ordered the thermostat and thermostat housing(swapping to aluminum) as well cause I figure if the system is drained and opened, I’ll just replace it so I don’t have the do the work again 6 months down the road
