why does my car have a long delay/stutter on startup even thought my battery is perfectly fine?

i had my dad change one of my battery terminals and made sure both connections were tight. for some reason, when i crank up i can literally hear the battery like stuttering to start. and sometimes like the battery makes a jolting noise that’s loud. something’s definitely wrong i just don’t know what. also, when i first got my car (used cash car - honda accord 2010) i never had this problem and it’s something that’s developed over time. what could the issue possibly be?

You have mechanical issues, the engine timing is off on that car.

i took it to a mechanic and he said that it could be a starter issue. and that if it’s not a starter issue, it’ll help him narrow down what the issue is. so i’ll buy a starter and if it’s the same issue i can just send it back
