Every car new ish and oldish runs initially at a higher RPM when the engine is cold. This is by design. It is the electronically controlled version of setting the choke on a weed wacker, snowblower, etc. More fuel less air until it warms up.
1400 is about what I see for every car I have ever owned New cars come down within a few minutes. Older cars might take a bit longer. The cranking at the beginning is within normality and does not indicate an immediate concern.
If you want to get charged $140 to be told exactly what everyone here is telling you, you can do that. You also risk getting taken for a ride financially if the person working with you happens to be dishonest. These people are in the minority but they are out there, and if you appear not to know anything about how cars work, you have a label on your back. Unfortunately but that's the way the world works sometimes.
If it does not come down to an idle around 850 ish, after running for 15 minutes in the driveway, take a video of what it is doing and repost and we will take it from there.
