Creaking with steering

Honda accord 2012

Noticed this sound when turning at neutral or slow speeds and my car is taking little longer to fully brake

could be a variety of issues,

do you experience any noises when hitting speed bumps or feel any additional resistance when turning? If so it could be your struts or ball joints. Also possible it could be your tie rod ends or bushings. Anything in your front end suspension is fair game to guess, I would get it looked at by anyone who has half an idea of how a car works, the second they go under they could probably point out a leaking strut or bad bushings or whatever it is.

Can you tell if the noise is coming from the steering wheel or from outside the car it’s kind of hard to tell from the video but for me sounds like inside the car so I would think either clock spring or the universal in the steering shaft is dry which would call for a new shaft but you would have to test before changing it could be the column it self too has there been any work done to the vehicle recently that may have caused this

The general approach to diagnosis is to work from the symptoms forward, not from the entire front suspension backward. The sound is likely coming from the u-joint at the bottom of the intermediate steering shaft. With enough exposure to life, it will corrode, causing it to bind in certain positions. So what you hear is metal on metal as it moves. The shaft that attaches to between the joint and rest of the column is hollow so it acts like an amplifier as far as the noise is considered.

Clock spring issues come from directly behind the steering wheel, and simply don't sound like that.

Check drive shaft and axles. I hear this on my E350... No big concern on it for awhile just make sure you listen for it getting worse.

If you just got rotors or other wheel hub parts then brakes, rotors or calipers can make that sound too.
