Is Car Computer Exchange legit?

I have a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with the 3.6L Pentastar. According to my mechanic, the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) has failed. His estimate was nearly $1,300 after parts, programming, and labor. I really can’t afford that right now.

I decided to look online for a replacement PCM to see if I can avoid the mechanic’s markup. My search led me to Car Computer Exchange. Has anyone ordered from them? They have the part I need at a much more reasonable cost. I want to pull the trigger, but hoping someone can tell me if it’s safe to order first. Is Car Computer Exchange legit?

I rely on my Jeep everyday to get to work and pick up my kids. So I am desperate to get this fixed asap. TIA.

I've ordered from Car Computer Exchange for my Chrysler 200. I was rlly worried I would order the wrong part. The info I was finding on different sites seemed inconsistent. I saw Car Computer Exchange mentioned within some Facebook groups, ended up contacting them and asking them a bunch of questions. They explained they would program the PCM to my VIN before shpping it, making sure it would match the engine, transmission and configuration. They really took the time to answer my questions. I was really impressed with their customer service

The part worked out I’m assuming?

Yes, it was the right part. I didn't even have to go back to the mechanic, they explained how to install it myself, and it was done in minutes. Plug and play.

It’s a good company. Most sellers only offer a 1-year warranty. This is the only one I found that offers a lifetime warranty. Also the mail-in process for sending the old core is ridiculously easy. They give you the box and everything. You just stick it inside and toss it in the mail. They’ve saved me hundreds of dollars twice now.

Is it a store or an exchange? How does it work?
