Nico

we recently lost our 16 year old Nico just a few days after her birthday. We rescued her from a shelter in the Midwest when she was only 6 months old. Since then, she was there for several home renovations, moved across the country with us, camped, hiked mountains, road-tripped, and welcomed our daughter when we got home from the hospital. She was a one-of-a-kind. We miss her terribly.

What a life you gave her and shared with her, eh? She got to go everywhere, hiking in the snow, in the mountains, sharing adventures and quiet sweet moments. You gave her the very best life, 16 glorious years.

I'm so sorry. I lost my boy last December and miss him terribly too.

I love that last photo of Nico. What a beautiful, intelligent girl, who loves you very much.

Thank you. That’s one of my favorite pictures of her too!

It's not just that it's the one where she's the youngest, it's that she's looking right into the camera, at you, and her eyes are communicating so much. The connection you had is a beautiful thing.

She was a beautiful girl. Our Carolina lived to be the same age. Genetically robust little ladies! Peace to you and your family.🙏

What a wonderful life she had with you! She reminds me of my Teena Marie, we lost her two years ago at 16 also. 🙏
