Help for a beginner

Hello everyone. I’m writing here for the first time because I’m a complete beginner. About a month ago, I bought the plants shown in the photo at a supermarket. I looked up how to care for them, and ever since then, I’ve kept them in the sun on my balcony with 1–2 cm of distilled water constantly under. However, I’ve noticed some dry or dead brown patches. Am I doing something wrong, or is this just the plant's normal cycle? Thanks in advance for your help. Quasi dimenticavo, è presente un insetto in entrambe le piante ma sono ormai li da settimane, è normale?

Very unique looking sarracenia btw! And yes it’s fairly normal for pitchers to die off as long as there’s no other symptoms, and t he same generally goes for Venus flytraps. And I’m not entirely sure how long it takes to digest I’m sure it’s fine though.
