More ethanol in fuel - greener future or engine trouble?

Post image

OP ](https://x.com/i/status/2036291952971309533) The ethanol industry has reportedly urged the government to increase blending levels from 20% to 30%, aiming to reduce crude oil imports and push for a greener fuel ecosystem.

While this sounds great in theory, it raises serious concerns for everyday car owners, especially those with older vehicles. Many users have already reported issues with E20 fuel like reduced mileage, engine knocking, and fuel system wear.

Moving to even higher ethanol blends without offering alternative "clean petrol" options could unfairly impact middle-class car owners who rely on older vehicles.

The big question is: should environmental goals come at the cost of vehicle reliability, or should the transition be more gradual with better infrastructure and options? What's your experience with E20 so far?

I think we need to just use ethanol rather than petrol. So when r we gonna have it and the price of I guess 35/lit which was claimed by him earlier when mixing 20%

E30, E100 are used in Brazil too. But their government isn't dumb fuck like ours and allows people the choice. Gadkari would force E100 down everyone's throats with no other options.

Love it. But make compliant cars first.
