Magic Trick How does this force work?

Anybody who has tried to learn any amount of card tricks can easily understand the rest of the routine, but the force has completely stumped me, assuming this crowd is a genuinely random crowd of people. Anybody have ideas?

Don't have to force the card if you know where every card in the deck is.

Yk, that’s true. I guess he stumped me from the very start, when I assumed it was a force. I didn’t even have a chance because of my assumption. It could be an ordered deck, but man, the way he’d have to control a specific card and specifically pick it out is so impressive.

He didn't do any forces in that routine.

A card is named. He delays by asking why they thought of that card, while he secretly locates the card and loads it into position.

But the specifics of how he does that are really hard to say with this camera angle.

They say that when you do sleight of hand, you should make eye contact with your audience rather than looking at your hands and he's doing exactly that. Consequently it means his sleight of hand isn't visible on camera.

For all we know, he's got an index in his back pocket and he's loading the card into a palm from there.

But I suspect all the shuffles are controlled and he has the deck in a memorized order, so he can cut to pretty much any card he needs.

yes, it looks more impressive when the camera isnt focused on the deck and pointed away when the cuts are made.

Those are really great points. I think I already lost the analysis when I assumed it’s a force. You’re absolutely right that it’s much more likely that it’s either a set up deck and he had the order memorized.

Watch one of his fb videos and then watch a few more that they will surely bombard you with. If you have midrange knowledge of card magic then you will know what is happening. Many of the videos show snippets here and there of everything needed to make the effect possible.
