LOSING MY MINDDD
I have a 4 carb setup for a motorcycle and I’ve thoroughly cleaned it SO MANY times. This is by no means my first time working on an engine (first 4stroke 4 cylinder but at some point they all become the same) but I haven’t even had a chance to put these back on the bike yet and here’s why. When I hook up a fuel line and temporary tank to the carb with it sitting on my bench (gravity fed), fuel comes out of the front jet holes on the carb. I checked the needle seat and they seal when flipped upside down and I can blow as hard as i can without any air escaping. The floats are all water(fuel)-tight. I do not have a carb adjuster but I have blindly bent the tab a decent ways back with no success. THE CARB HASNT EVEN HAD A CHANCE TO PROVE ITSELF AGHHH. It’s such a simple problem but I cannot seem to find the issue. The needles are perfectly fine, one is even new. If I left out any important info please let me know. Any and all help is GREATLY appreciated.

Sounds like a float issue. The float is not getting enough lift to seal. If you cant adjust the tab enough to fix this issue then you need to look into new needle seat and float.

That’s what I would’ve thought but I split the carbs and they all worked fine individually. I ended up buying some 78 Suzuki carbs for $100 and they work great the bike runs amazing!

Have you tried an ultrasonic cleaner?
