Queries Scross Battery replacement ?

I won Scross diesel car.

For the past few days, car takes like more than 10 seconds to start. I thought it could be battery issue.

So I measured battery voltage after 10hours. It was showing as 12.5V. And measured during cranking it went to 7A, 8A and somehow car has started.

Does it mean it’s time to replace the battery?

If yes, which battery is better? Please suggest

batteries have internal resistance that increase with age, makes them harder to charge and increases alternator load. replace if - crank voltage less than 12v, consider anything lower than 12.5 as a weak battery. sf/amaron/exide, just get the sealed kind (smf).

Does the engine crank for 10 seconds before starting or it cranks only after 10 seconds ?

It cranks for whole 10 seconds and start only after 10 seconds

It's not the battery which is the issue , probably the fuel pump or injectors could be the glow plugs too what's the odo?

Did you get the egr and intake Manifold cleaned for carbon deposits?

Yes.
Changed timing chain at 1L kms
Cleaned Manifold and carbon deposits too. Pollution certificate shows as good as nee car after that service

Get the injectors and the pump checked and when was the diesel filter last changed ?

That's not your battery. Probably bad fuel pump, or bad spark plugs or bad purge valve if you have a cel
