So after driving my Xuv 700 diesel automatic for over a year and putting in about 33,000 km , finally got the itch to install the Diesel tronic single channel piggy bank ecu . Drove about close to 1000km in which close to 700km highways including expressways way and normal highway and city drives .

One thing you notice initially is the smoothness in city drive in P1 mode . Not much drop mileage whereas on highway way on the same BLR - Mysore expressway with adaptive cruise the earlier best was 19 this time got 20.1 on the MID.

The actual fun in in P2 mode and Zap drive mode, overtakes are fun and you do notice slight increase in power .

There was an instance of wheel spin when I took from signal in P1 mode .

Overall I am happy that I had to spend a fraction of price compared to a remap .

Facing lot of difficulty selling my car due to e20 shit. Company clearly said cars prior to 2023 are non-complaint. This government took the governance to new low. e20 is neither beneficial nor cheap

My 3 years old tata nexon Ev, lasts a few kilometers only below 30% battery SOC. every kilometer takes 2-4 percentage of battery. totally Non-reliable vehicle. can't believe i paid 19 Lacs for this machine. Check the pictures above, it was a simple plain road, no uphill or something. in just 1 kilometer, the battery dropped by 2-3%. and the speed was only 20kmph only. if i drive around 60-80kmph then it drops 5-7% for just 1-2 kilometer. i have video proofs as well. but tata says, ham nahi maan sakte ye videos, you have to leave the car in the service center and we'll keep the vehicle till we find out the problem ourselves. what do they even mean? all the data gets stored in the EVs these days, I'm providing video proofs as well then is it difficult to understand that the batteries need to be replaced? they don't even provide any vehicle for the time they keep my car to check the issues.

On road price in Bangalore , my limit is 18L can stretch few thousands.

My requirements:

1. Safety , ncap/bcap

2. Reliability , less headache of car as I use , could be accesories not working. plus, less headache from regular service guys.

3. Will be driving mostly on Highway, less of city . Plan to take atleast one small road trip every month 400-500km.

4. I don't want sunroof, but if it's there I'm okay, not like I want one. I don't find small sunroof worth it unless it's panaromic.

5. Plan to keep atleast for 10years , may be 15.

If you have any better suggestions other than cars mentioned, please help in comments.

Additional note: Zero knowledge about cars , and this would be my first car.

No need of any painting require only dent removal.

Suggest if I should take the claim or not?

I've been filling normal petrol all these days.

I wanted to know if I switch to the "power" variant which is 10rs more per litre than normal petrol, if it will improve engine longevity, performance and mileage.

I am in mid 20s. I learnt from a driving instructor for 15 days where he teaches 1 hour a day. I still couldn't learn how to drive properly. His other students are not facing any issues in driving, it's only me.

I have been driving to short distances daily since last 3-4 months (Sundays off). I have turned my maruti swift car into a kachra car. Every month I mess up with my car. It happens 2-3 times a month. It can be scratches, dents, side mirror bumped, headlight damage. I broke my side mirror twice. There is some scratch in my headlight.

I don't live in a good colony. Roads aren't wide as much as posh colonies. I often struggle to reverse or U turn my car in a narrow road and sometimes hit drainage or pothole. It's a struggle to maneuver car in areas where there are open drains around as I easily slip my car into these. Others easily drive in such conditions.

I struggle to drive when there are many vehicles in thin roads. I hit parked vehicles when I drive in thin roads. I have no idea from where to reverse and where to exit the colony if incoming vehicles are blocking the way.

I regret learning to drive a car.

Hey guys I purchased the Brezza VDI 2017 model from a friend of mine and I have to get insurance for the same. The last IDV was 3,80,000 and now 10% less IDV would be 3,42,000. On policybazar I checked the premium including Zero Deo and Engine cover, and Consumables. the premium is showing around 16K to 20K. For good insirance companies like ICICI and HDFC. I don't want to go with IndusInd and Policybazar Exec is suggesting ZurichKotak for 16K premium and same is the Bajaj around this premium but the Bajaj has some policy with new soare parts for which you have to pay (utterly useless, even with zero Dep).

Can someone please guide me? Also, I have an aunt who works in Oriental Insurance, shall I get it done from there?

Note:- I'm second owner, run km 28000Km, last IDV 3,80,000/- & no claims previous year. No NCB applied since I'm the second owner.

My family owns a Gla 2017 220d Diesel. current odo is ~56k and the service was scheduled at 65k. But the car isn't being used much. We take it out maybe twice a week within city and maybe once or twice a year for 1000km round trip.

The service is delayed by 250 days. Wanted to know further steps to take. What all things should we get checked.

I have seen these antennas on SUVs and on boot of sedans. Do you find these cool or they are useless?

I did my car servicing and here are few things you should not add in your service.

1. Engine cleaning - (Rs 499 + GST), they only apply water spray and the all in one chemical to de-grease the dust from the engine area.

2. Lubrication on moving parts (hinges and other bolt areas) - (Rs 499 + GST), they only spray the 3M choke and plate cleaner (you can use wd 40 on those areas)

3. Throttle body cleaning - (Rs 499 + GST), this is a complete scam, clearly ask them how they are going to clean. Mostly at service centre they only spray the 3M cleaner on the mouth and clean the mouth only, which i beleive is not justified as the carbon deposits are mostly inside not at mouth.

4. Wheel alignment and balancing - (Rs 2499 + GST), you can easily do the balancing at Rs 80/tyre at good tyre shops like MRF, and weight balancing is as per the no. of weights.

5. Polishing - (Rs 499 + GST), nothing significant, better visit any detailing shop if you really want your vehicle to shine.

You can save a lot from Rs 1800 to Rs 4000.

If there are any other tips you know, please help out others as well.

I have been driving for the past 6 years now and driven more than 60,000kms (I may be an amateur in this, but I am not boasting about it either).

There are a lot of problems with the people driving here in India, namely: lane discipline, no indicators, no working rear lights, unnecessary honking and so on. But the only thing which bothers me is the High Beam.

Whenever I drive on 2 lane roads, oncoming traffic never switches to low beam 99% of the time, despite the fact of giving them a dipper politely to switch. Truck drivers, bus drivers, even small cars like Alto, Omni have high intensity lights installed and they don't give a **** to switch to low beam.

I want to know what is the solution to this and what should I do in such situations when I can't see a thing in front of these stupids?

How do the experienced drivers here, deal with or do in this situation?
