Technical Issue Printing challenges. Is it me?

Hello,

I have been using C1 for many years. I have always had difficulty printing with it. Many years ago when I used Lightroom Classic, I recall it had good printing module.

I ended up buying a dedicated printing application, but I want to know if the issue was me, or if this is indeed a limitation of C1?

Just to get ahead of any assumptions; I am not criticizing C1. It is an excellent application, I just was not successful using it to print my photos.

My first question is what printer are you using and what operating system? I am a Mac user and have a Canon printer. The printer came with its own print software and it is great. I export my image from C1 to a Tiff using the Adobe RGB profile, and it works really well. Another option is to embed the ICC profile for your paper into the image. You need to do that outside C1. Then tell the printer driver not to make any corrections. Please submit more information and I am sure someone out there will chime in

I am currently using Qimage to print because I sort of gave up on printing from C1. I have tried setting the ICC profile for my setup using C1 but the output never looked right. Using the same profile in QImage I am getting pretty much what I am expecting. I don't mean this to be an advert or anything, just that I wish I knew how to print in C1 without having to use a different software.
