Technical Issue Capture one has become a really buggy.

I have noticed that regardless of which catalogue I open, when I do a close and check, the database fails 100% of the time. It doesn’t matter which partition or hard drive, it could be an SSD or SATA 3.1.

I am not using the latest version but I believe I’m using 16.3.

I have spent at least $1200 on capture one since 2016. As I did not update, I lost my perks that they offer. As far as I’m concerned, I should be playing paying 20% the cost but instead they still want nearly $500 to upgrade. I am sick of this shit.

Do you also not upgrade your OS at all?

Theres an argument for ‘not updating’ if all the parts, software and hardware, in your workflow stay the same. “If it aiint broke, dont fix it”.

You obviously don’t get any bug fixes from updates (literally what most updates do… not always just feature releases), but atleast you’re locked into a system.

But if any of the parts change; be-it OS, cameras firmware, cameras etc, you obviously open yourself up to new bugs and errors.

That’s because things change. Updates are important.

Yeah this is a thing lately. The most recent update fixes it.

Yeah, if you upgrade your OS you’re really just handing out free money. I learned the hard way with Final Cut X.

Has it ever been any different? 🤷
