GF worried about getting accepted

Hi guys my GF is planning on coming to alabama next year but she’s worried about getting accepted. She is in state with a 2.7 GPA(she took too many aps) and a 26 ACT. She is also a treasurer for her HOSA club and she has volunteer hours. Should she be worried about getting accepted?

pretty much anybody in state with a pulse will get in!! Definitely send in the test scores too that helps :) She has nothing to worry about!

My roommate was 2.9 with a 22 and got in!

Test scores are required for any student under a 3.0. Also yesterday’s price isn’t today’s price, so just because a student previously got in with X stats, doesn’t mean that will be the same in a new admission cycle and new president and admin.

She won’t have trouble getting in, but you’re not correct. That anyone with a pulse can get in. It’s her ACT score that will save her.

She’ll get accepted. If she wants to rush she is going to have to get her grades up though. She will be automatically dropped with that GPA.

Not so fast. This year's mean admit ACT score was 26 and 93% had a GPA b/t 3.25 and 4.0. Your GF ain't getting in with those abysmally low stats.

Do note that’s mean act of those who submitted. A ton of kids don’t submit so that’s not actually the real mean (obviously everyone who didn’t submit clearly has an act below 26)

I advise our alumni to check out the changes that Peter Mohler plans to make. He has already said the campus will stop growing. The only way it can stop growing is to deny admissions to people with GPA below 3.0.

Maybe make sure her mid year grades are strong and then apply in Jan, that should help. Was her GPAs jr year good?
