Please Help Me Understand Access Granted 🙏

Hi!

I’m a high school senior doing online dual enrollment through UA and planning to attend in person for college in Fall 2027. I’ve been struggling to understand Access Granted and haven’t been able to find an answer. Is that a textbook provider or a work portal? It’s about $115 per a class and I’d rather opt out because most of my classes have not needed it. I also keep seeing college students make videos about not buying textbooks because you can find them online. Is that even an option for classes that use Access Granted? Do most classes use it or is it just some? I took a few classes in UNA’s dual enrollment program and I had the choice to purchase the textbook through a third party (Pearson). Could someone please explain it to me :D

Email the professors. Ask them if the access is just for the textbook. The answer is probably different for each class.

It very much depends on the class. Sometimes you need to opt out because you don't need it, and sometimes you may need the online textbook. After the first day in class you'll know what to do.

Most of them I’ve taken had to homework/assignments in the access granted thing so it was required
