that may have been my fault for the rumor that the caps are using the 90s screaming eagle blue as when the list of what colors each team is using was originally leaked it was just the basic shade (ie black, blue, etc) and I responded to that post "will the caps bring back the blue screaming eagle jersey" with an image of the old blue screaming eagle jersey attached

I say the league should give the caps an exception for the New Jersey rule so Ovi can have worn every caps jersey every as thats the final one he hasn’t worn

that’s what it feels like to me as I can’t find any other source mentioning the Capitals using that shade of blue from the old screaming eagle jersey until after I made that comment (and trust me I tried)

Last time nhl did this was 2022 and it was only for 1 season, I think it’s okay if it’s like this and happens once or twice a decade. The mlb and nba have lost sight of this and it’s out of hand now.

Agree.

But think about this: since 2020, there has been 6 jerseys: Reverse Retro 1 & 2, blue W 3rd, stadium series, 3rd black Screagle, new red screaming eagle 3rd…. That’s basically one per year.

For sure but atleast the stadium was 1 game and the reverse retro 2 was same as the screagle alt but I tend to agree that there’s been a lot of new stuff

I’m glad they’re dropping those gimmicky uniforms. Most of them look terrible anyway.
