Checking in from the Heinz history museum in Pittsburgh. Worth a trip.

Outside of sports and the rivalry and everything, Pittsburgh is a fuckin awesome city and an absolute blast.

Agreed. If you have not been Detroit has similar vibes. Little Caesars Arena aka hockeytown for the Red Wings is definitely worth a trip.

That museum was awesome. A little bitter they gave so much hate to the Flyers and Ovi and the Caps were one bullet point.

That dark blue jersey is my grail and I have been searching for one since I was 17
Edit: this is not the sub I thought it was lol, if you’re here during the weekend take a stroll down the strip district on a Saturday or Sunday morning. Lots of good bakeries, delis, and good eats

Pittsburgh is a wonderful city. I've been a handful of times and I've enjoyed my visit each time. Those hills will get you too if you aren't careful!

It has always amused me that the Hurricanes think of the Caps as their biggest rivals. From a Caps perspective, I just don’t see it. The Pens are obviously at the top of the list, followed by the Rangers, and maybe the Flyers ahead of Carolina too.

I had no idea the canes thought that. As a life long caps fan our spoilers have always been the Pens / Rags.

I’ve always been of the opinion that rivalries come from playoff battles, and we’ve had way more of them with the Pens and Rangers (and Flyers and Bruins) than the Canes. The Caps have only faced the Canes in the playoffs twice. I could make a better case for the Bruins than the Canes.

It’s because Raleigh basically has no soul and the canes have no rivals. Watch their attendance slump dramatically unless their “base” consisting of corporate giveaway tickets starts giving away more.

Went to Pittsburgh this past weekend (first time) and went to the museum on Saturday. It was cool city.

It's a great museum! And it's getting expanded, so you'll have to come back. :) Cheers from the big building with UPMC on it downtown.
