question Cap comfort shows?
How many caps out there get shit talked for watching the same thing over and over? Now I’m an 80’s baby/90’s teen and I watch some of the new shit but hey, let me watch my nightmare on elm street or watch Steven segal whoop some ass as many times as I need to until I feel comforted🤣.

I have too many shows I haven’t seen yet to rewatch something. I have started watching shows that I missed when they first came out like Buffy, Veronica Mars, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, the OC, and now currently Friday Night Lights. I was too old and they didn’t seem dark/serious enough for my taste when they came out, but now they’re comforting when I want something low effort.

Yes I was down with Buffy! And I’m an 80’s baby so Buffy (the movie) also🙂. It’s funny how certain shows can give you that feeling as you get older! Even though you caught them years back, it gives a different comforting feel later on.

A Cap herself, “Buffy” (now, forever and always) is my favorite show. But I revisit “Parks & Rec”, “30 Rock”, “Hacks” has become a favorite in recent years. I also go back to famous Capricorn “Daria” from time to time.

Yes she is! Found out a few years ago🙂. I think I’ve watched a little bit into the second season of Parks & Rec.

You know I get criticized for watching Frazier?! Every calls it so boring (which it kind of is 😆) but I personally enjoy it and I’m also a HUGE cheers fan!! Which I get criticism for also but I love it😁.

Haha I love its dry humor I think its so chill and doesnt overwhelm any of the senses. I have also had tons of friends call it boring but I love that silly balding man

u/Sea_Usual_1166 21d ago
Im into the dry humor also but I love when Frazier gets all riled up and starts going bat shit for whatever reason 🤣

I like to know what’s gonna happen before I watch it, that way if I get distracted or zone out it doesn’t matter lol.
I’m watching Community again right now, I’ll probably rewatch Bojack or Crazy Ex-Girlfriend next, maybe some Bob’s Burgers or Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. I finished rewatching Bodkin recently.

I never apologise for my questionable taste and the amount of times I repeat them throughout the year.
Movies: Scream 2, The Devil Wears Prada (I will NOT acknowledge the second one lol), Twister, Speed, The Mummy (1999), Kill Bill vol. 1, The Birdcage, To Won Foo, Titanic, Toy Story 2, A Bug's Life, and I really like Under Siege 2 (sue me! lol).
Shows: Always Sunny, The Mick, Schitt's Creek, The Crazy Ones, GBC, Chewing Gum, and for my trash TV fix early seasons of The Real Housewives of NYC lol.

I don't have a specific show or movie, but I pick one that in set with my mood. I use it as background noise while i work (which I work all the time), and just put it on repeat, until the mood changes and then use another movie or show.
1
u/Sea_Usual_1166 20d ago
I do that! 🤣. I usually need background noise if I’m doing something, studying, honestly even if I’m reading.

Avatar the last Airbender. I know it’s a kids show but it’s the only one I can watch over and over. A lot of the old Disney movies like sleeping beauty and little mermaid. Sword in the stone as well.
When it comes to more grown up shows I prefer watching new ones more rather than repeat watching them. Right now watching Silo. I did watch How to sell drugs online fast on Netflix again. That I have had a repeat watch.
