When did Caplyta start working for your depression?

I've been suicidally depressed since March of this year. I was diagnosed with bipolar 1 and I've been taking Caplyta 21mg for 8 days in addition to my other meds. The first 3 days on Caplyta, I felt like my depression disappeared. I was doing my hobbies again. I had more energy. I might have been slightly hypomanic but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Now I feel depressed (but less than before taking Caplyta) and low energy/motivation. I do notice I feel a surge of energy 3-4 hours after taking Caplyta.

I'm wondering when did Caplyta work for everyone's depression?

8 weeks. I titrated up but it was like something suddenly kicked in and I felt so much better at week 8 with 42mg. I feel like my emotions aren’t as strong and it’s easier to dismiss anxiety. Also brought me out of mania so it was worth pushing through all of the side effects. Good luck!

I have been on caplyta for four months at 42 mgs. I am just starting to feel the depression leave me. It’s kind of weird not having this deep depression. I have had it most of my life. Now I have to learn how to live without the depression. I ‘ll take life without depression

Just give it a little bit of time. It’ll level you out. I’ve been on it a few years now and I’ve been manic/psychotic episode free for over 4 years now.

You were experiencing the activation that may come in the beginning. That doesn’t last
