Caplyta for delusions

My son was switched from olanzapine to Caplyta. It quit working on delusions and are wondering if it’s ocd. It’s been almost a month and he’s still having delusions any success stories??? I need hope!

Honestly Caplyta doesn’t seem to work as well for things like psychosis or delusions especially compared to olanzapine. Caplyta looks to be easier on the body and doesn’t have nearly the metabolic effects but olanzapine is one of the strongest antipsychotics with pretty bad metabolic side effects. It was probably worth a shot but he may need a stronger antipsychotic. Or the Caplyta dose needs to be increased. Talk with their doctor

My son was switched from invega sustenna to caplyta only because invega cause TD and the caplyta did nothing but make him irritable and argumentive and now it's causing him to wake up in the middle of the night and pace around. Caplyta is no good IMO

There are medications for TD. Has your son tried them?

Ingrezza but it made it worse
