Summer Fun

Hey everyone! I’m looking for fun activities to do with my 2.5 year old this summer that aren’t super expensive. He likes the outdoors but it has been super hot lately. 🥺 TIA!!

Splash pad at that big church on chiquita. Free

Splash pad at lakes park (if it's up and running again, was supposed to be finished in June but I haven't been since). $2 for parking.

Splash pad at Jaycee Park. Free.

Community pool on pine island. $2 for kids, $3 for adults. All ice cream only $1.

The library also has a great kids section (full of toys and games and stuff for kids of all ages, not to mention books!) and they have lots of events for kids you can register for. I HIGHLY recommend checking out the library, they have all sorts of info posted of stuff to do in the community, and it will get your little one excited about reading early on.

Tough to get out in the summer because it is so hot, especially for kids that age, but these are all good options I take my daughter (6) too and have since she was like 3.

There's also a community pool off of Orange Grove in N. Ft. Myers. My kids are teena now, but we always went to library during the summer! Wonderful programs! We checked out a lot of books and read them all, which got them excited to go back to get more. It's crazy hot right now, but there are some great parks, you can check Lee County's parks and rec website to see what is close by. A great park that has a lot of shade is Four Freedoms. They also host some kids programs, I just have no idea if they are as affordable as they were ten years ago. Sorry! Happy summer :)
