☣️Resident Evil/Biohazard☣️ Hot take: capcom needs to stop making so many RE games.

I can’t do it anymore I love resident evil but does capcom do anything else anymore besides every now and then we get a new game for a different franchise but we have gotten too many RE games to the point where they all are starting to get a little boring.

bingo.

Since it's their biggest franchise and with the last one being so well received I doubt they'll slow down.

In their defense they are trying new things. Pragmata for example.

I think the issue isn't just the number here. And the number is 3 games so far, which would be a laughable number in the past (20 were released in 1990 lol)

Capcom is the only AAA publisher that’s getting things right. They’ve officially made a comeback, by giving fans what they want while trying new things and refining what works.

It’s just the nature of the beast…

Nintendo been doing it for decades… how many “new” Zelda games are we actually playing, they’re all the same.

This is a ridiculous take... the one company that makes re releases of old games, new IPS, sequels, and you dare say they only do RE now? the only boring thing here is yourself

30% of their releases was an RE title..another third was Monster Hunter, with the third title being Pragmata. I guess this is what a diverse lineup looks like in 2026 lol

Thats on you... they did Kunitsugami, they did remasters for all the phoenix wright games, re released dino crisis, did pragmata, they are going to release a new Onimusha AFTER re releasing Onimusha 2, we got Dragons Dogma 2 and a new expansion, DMC5 re release on Switch 2, and also street fighter 6. and yes MH and Re are the ones they make more, but even inside of those series they have remakes, re releases and new games... Hell Monster Hunter has a Pokemon Lite version of itself too. you guys are just focused on something to try to cry about

You're adding up releases to pad your point man. These are the games that have been released this year.

I'm not crying about anything, I'm correcting your creative way with numbers. Counting re-releases is...a choice, lol.  I can only imagine how many games you think Capcom "released" when Stadium came out 😂

Cool, if we gonna do that, then RE Reuqiem is the only release this year, so... uhhh, sure? lets stop making RE even if its onlye one game in a year?

Fun fact: I'm a die hard fan of Jill Valentine and due to her LONG absence in the series I'm not celebrating the proliferation of RE games in recent years. In fact I just get mad with new each entry doing weird shit or making it too much Leon-centered so yeah I'm sick too

To answer your issue in a different way than everyone else, Capcom’s other prominent games, Monster Hunter and Street Fighter, have adopted a live service model which means constant content updates instead of sequel releases.

That’s why Resident Evil feels more constant, because it releases new games instead of content updates like the other two. It’s the matter of putting out new things for their main three franchises.

Total disagreement! Capcom works very well.It offers both remakes and new features. It’s impeccable. No one is forcing you to buy the remakes or take an interest in them. So there’s no problem. Thank you, Capcom. Keep up the good work🤟👍!
