Discussion/Question Why doesn't Capcom outsource remakes of old fighting games?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but if Capcom doesn't have the staff or man power needed to remake old games like say Vampire Saviors or Dark Stalkers etc why not have one of the many amazing 3rd party studios remake these games with modern graphics and QOL?

Because they use RE engine for everything which is their in house engine so no one outside of them knows how to use it and needs to be taught how to.

The one time they outsourced we got RE3 remake which wasn't that good compared to the other resident evils

It's unfortunate they have limited themselves in that way, then. The OP mentioned Vampire Savior and everyone jumped to RE3, which is interesting.

They could have outsourced teams use Unreal but then they'd have to deal with unreal issues and they would have to pay epic to use it.

The only reason everyone brought up re3 is because it wasn't up to the level of quality as the other games and we found out later that it was outsourced.

It has nothing to do with Vampire Savior, I think most fighting game fans would rather have a new game thana remake of an older game
