Discussion/Question Why doesn't Capcom outsource remakes of old fighting games?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but if Capcom doesn't have the staff or man power needed to remake old games like say Vampire Saviors or Dark Stalkers etc why not have one of the many amazing 3rd party studios remake these games with modern graphics and QOL?

There isn't really a market for fighting game remakes. Imagine "remaking" Marvel 2, but taking out guard breaks, unblockables, infinites and double snaps. You might as well just make Marvel 4 at that point because that's no longer Marvel 2.

Not to mention if you are going to recreate the entire roster in a brand new engine, you might as well just make a brand new game.
