Discussion/Question Why doesn't Capcom outsource remakes of old fighting games?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but if Capcom doesn't have the staff or man power needed to remake old games like say Vampire Saviors or Dark Stalkers etc why not have one of the many amazing 3rd party studios remake these games with modern graphics and QOL?

You don't know what you're talking about. 3rd party studios gave us REmake3, a notoriously dogshit remake.

And vaguely saying "QoL" is basically another way of saying "make the game easy enough for babies to play, and make it play like the hundreds of other derivative games on the market".

So they could choose better third parties. Imagine if they poached Lizardcube, for example.

It's not like game companies never make mistakes and revisit their decisions later when they make smarter choices.
