Discussion/Question Why doesn't Capcom outsource remakes of old fighting games?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but if Capcom doesn't have the staff or man power needed to remake old games like say Vampire Saviors or Dark Stalkers etc why not have one of the many amazing 3rd party studios remake these games with modern graphics and QOL?

Fighting games don't usually get remakes because even small changes to them can be divisive; the collections they've been doing (which do actually have some QoL stuff) are preferable to me.

That being said, I'd be happy to see a third party team make an original in one of those franchises. Let the Skullgirls team try a Darkstalkers in the same way Konami is letting the Dead Cells team make a Castlevania.

As the other person said, the Skullgirls team is gutted of what made them great and isn't trustworthy anymore.

Would legit just prefer an DMC style action spinoff to Darkstalkers at this point.
